Start a Recycling Program at Work!
Recycling is important to the economy, and the environment.
In workplaces across America 4.4 million tons of office papers were recovered in 2003, up from 3.3 million tons in 1995. Still, less than half of all office papers are recycled. To boost the amount of recycled materials available for new products, more office papers and other paper products need to be recycled. Get your company on board!
What Information You Need to Have Before Calling
- Types of recyclable materials needing to be recycled
- Quantity (in pounds or tons) of each material generated during a given time frame (e.g. per week or per month)
- The number of employees creating recyclable materials in your business (e.g. number of office staff discarding paper)
- The amount of space and/or location available for internal and/or external recycling bin storage.
- Pick up access location such as a loading dock, driveway, parking spot, etc...
- List of questions to ask!
We will want to go over all of the options available to you. Here is a brief list of services, and the information that we will use to work with you to develop a recycling program that works for your company.
Drop-off Service
- Do you want to drop off recyclables at our facility?
- There is no minimum volume requirement.
- We can pay you cash for delivered qualifiedrecyclables.
Pick-up Service
Do you want us to provide pick up service for recyclables?
- We will discuss the volume requirement?
- We will discuss whether there is a pick up charge involved? (per pick up, per month, etc...?)
- What is the frequency of pick up?
Payment for Recyclables
Do you pay for recyclables picked up?
- If so, how much for each type of recyclable?
- If so, how is the price determined and how often does it vary?
- Do you require a contract for service?
Equipment Provided
What type of container/bin do you want provided for collection?
- Does the container need to be insider or outside?
- How much space is required for the container?
- Does it need to be lockable
- How much space is available for the truck to pick up the container?
Confidentiality Destruction Services
We can offer you document destruction of confidential materials. We will discuss what is covered in the fees. Will you require that the destruction be witnessed? A Certificate of Destruction provided. All the materials are completely recycled after it is destroyed!
